Another Follow Up On - Need A Prayer
Post Date: 12/6/09 8:38 am
Hi everyone on BAF,
I am asking for your prayer for my girlfriends 23 yr old daughter who is a WLS patient 5yrs out.
Thursday afternoon she was driving on our highway when she was in a major car accident. The end result of this accident was a fracture neck. Right now she is able to move her hands and feet and yes she does still have feeling however tomorrow 12/7 she will be having life changing surgery on her spine with which she has a 50/50 chance of making it out of the surgery alive and then a 50/50 chance of ever being able to walk again.
Again I ask for everyone to pray for her.
Thank you

I would like to thank you all for you prayers and well wishes. It is true that prayer will bring you through anything. If it is GOD's will it will be done. She will need an angel on her shoulder now.
My girlfriends daughter came out of major surgery after 11 hrs with no paralysis and very little blood loss. Now she just has to come through the rehad and hopefully she will fight like she has been doing or the past 5 days.
Again I THANK YOU all from the bottom of my heart.
UPDATE: GOD IS SO VERY GOOD
I went to the hospital on Friday to visit and she is very alert and in pretty much good spirits. She is having trouble with speech but we will take that for now. They still have her strapped down so that she will not make any sudden movements but she is in a sitting up position and she can wave her hands and move her feet. She was a little upset about the fact that they had to shave spots in her head but I told here that you kids are wearing that style now anyway with all the girls getting the Mohawk styles so that cheered her up.
The family and myself would like to say THANK YOU to all that remembered her in your prayers and ask that you continue to pray for her for she has a long road ahead of her.
Again: GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME and ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD.
Love the Mohawk comment! Find some pics of some chicks with it from Essence or something - get her planning her 'do' - jazz it up with some color - let her OWN it!!!!
Best wishes on her recovery!

I have a 26 y/o daughter (only child) and everytime she leaves our house I pray she reaches her apt. w/o some irresponsible driver plowing into her. Even though our children do grow up to be adults, parents still worry about their "babies".
